Akhil Sathyan is an Indian film director and writer primarily working in the Malayalam film industry. He is the son of acclaimed filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad, and grew up surrounded by cinema, storytelling and production environments. Before stepping into films, Akhil worked outside the industry for a short period, giving him a broader professional perspective before transitioning fully into filmmaking. He later joined film sets as an assistant and associate director, gaining first-hand experience in writing, direction.
