Sinoy Joseph is an acclaimed Indian Sound Designer and Re-Recording Mixer who has worked on more than 600 feature films across multiple languages. Known for his precision, emotional depth, and technical mastery, Sinoy has become one of India’s most sought-after sound professionals. His expertise spans both cinematic and OTT formats, and he is widely recognised for his ability to translate a director’s creative vision into immersive sonic experiences. Sound Philosophy & Craft In his role as sound designer and re-recording mixer, Sinoy applies a holistic approach to audio storytelling: he listens to the emotional arc of each scene, integrates ambient and design elements with precision, and ensures that dialogue, music and effects co-exist in perfect harmony. Whether it's a tight thriller, an intimate drama or a high-octane action film, his work supports and enhances the cinematic vision. With his multi-lingual portfolio, he bridges regional styles and technical standards, creating audio environments that resonate universally.
Over the past two decades, Sinoy Joseph has collaborated with India’s leading filmmakers and production houses, including T-Series, Dharma Productions, Phantom Films, Rising Sun Productions, Mammootty Kampany, and more.
He has played a pioneering role in introducing Dolby Atmos technology to Indian cinema, setting new benchmarks in immersive sound design.
His studio, Caanaan Sound Post, based in Mumbai, is one of the few facilities in India equipped with 9.1.6 Dolby Atmos and 9.1.4 OTT Atmos mixing systems, enabling world-class sound production for both theatrical and digital releases.
