Work Description

Professional Journey

Rajakrishnan began his career as an assistant sound engineer, quickly mastering the craft before taking on the role of Chief Sound Engineer at Four Frames Sound Company, Chennai. His expertise in re-recording, mixing, and immersive audio has made him a trusted collaborator for some of India’s most visionary filmmakers.

His impressive body of work includes a vast spectrum of cinematic worlds:

Kantara (Kannada) – An audio masterpiece blending nature, ritual, and raw emotion through layers of indigenous sounds and spiritual intensity.

Kantara: Chapter 1 (Multi-lingual) – Expected to raise the bar for realistic and mythic soundscapes, continuing his legacy of authentic, immersive audio storytelling.

Animal (Hindi) – A technical triumph that used sound to emphasise emotional chaos, scale, and raw intensity in a modern cinematic setting.

Rangasthalam (Telugu) – His national award-winning mix captured the rustic vibrance and texture of rural India.

Urumi, Chaappa Kurishu, Manchadikuru, Kumbalangi Nights, Premam, Drishyam, Charlie, Amen, and Bangalore Days – defining works that showcase his range across intimate dramas and large-scale epics.

He has also been instrumental in implementing advanced formats like Dolby Atmos and Auro 3D in Indian post-production, enhancing cinematic depth and realism for audiences.
