One of my proudest achievements is the State Award for the documentary film “Parethante Paribhavangal.”
Hi, I’m Madhu Paul, a keyboard player, music composer, and orchestrator with over 25 years of experience in the world of music. My journey has been shaped by a deep love for sound, melody, and the magic of arrangement. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working as a music programmer with composer Bijibal in many of his most celebrated film projects, contributing to the soundtracks of several acclaimed Malayalam movies. Alongside programming and orchestration, I’ve also explored my own path as a music composer, creating original scores for feature films, short films, and documentaries. One of my proudest moments was when my music for the documentary “Parethante Paribhavangal” received the State Award. As a composer, my works include feature films like Kappiri Thuruthu, Churul, Maruvasam, Kallam, and 10 Maasam. Among my short film compositions, “Margavathi”, directed by Reji Ramapuram, remains one of my most memorable projects. I’ve also composed single songs for popular Malayalam films such as “Ganagandharvan” and “Grrr”. Beyond films, I’ve composed and programmed music for numerous albums and devotional projects. One of my notable independent works is the music album “Mukil,” sung by the acclaimed music director Bijibal himself — a project that received warm appreciation from listeners. For me, music is not just a profession — it’s a lifelong journey of expression, experimentation, and emotion. Every note I play and every piece I compose is a reflection of the stories and souls that inspire me.
